Drawing upon a first-rate theoretical expertise and unparalleled track record, the department was involved, in the more than 25 years since it was created, in the most important investigations of vertical agreements conducted by the Romanian Competition Council as well as in all investigations of ‘mixed’ agreements (vertically-facilitated horizontal agreements and hub-and-spoke agreements) ever conducted by the national competition authority. Moreover, the department has advised on the setting-up of all types of distribution networks (exclusive, selective, franchise, agency) across a wide range of industries. Part of the European Distribution Law project, the team was involved in the publishing of the first ever monograph on competition law in distribution agreements in Romania.
