Robert is the head of the firm’s team of dedicated lawyers and economists specialising in competition law. He advises clients in high profile cases in Czechia and Slovakia, including the issues of vertical restraints, distribution law and specific regulation of supplier-buyer relationships in the food industry. Before joining the firm, he was Vice-Chairman and Acting Chairman of the Czech National Competition Authority. He knows how competition authorities think.

He is a co author of a respected commentary to the Czech Competition Act, and author of several dozen professional articles focusing on competition law, including verticals.

He also lectures on competition law at universities and regularly participates in prestigious national and international antitrust conferences as a sought-after speaker.

Under his management, the firm was successful in legal rankings relating to competition law, in particular, Law Firm of the Year (winner of the Competition Law category in 2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2020), Chambers, and Global Competition Review. In 2017, he was one of the six award-winning lawyers in the Innovative Lawyer of the Year competition. Global Competition Review named him as Thought Leader, and Who is Who Legal as Competition Future Leader.
