This monograph focuses on EU distribution law, as well as the mandatory distribution rules in Spain. It builds on 'Vertical Agreements in EU Competition Law' published by Oxford University Press and constitutes an integral part of a truly exceptional pan-European publication project.

The authors consider issues directly relevant in the commercial world, answering questions such as: Under what conditions may a supplier impose territorial restrictions on his dealer network? Is it possible to impose maximum retail prices? Are customer restrictions permissible in a selective distribution system? Can a supplier assume an exclusive supply obligation? Is an exclusive supply-back obligation included in a subcontracting arrangement enforceable?

In addition, the monograph addresses the national rules under the distribution laws of Spain. Typical questions include: Is it mandatory to provide certain pre-contractual information? Are there binding rules governing the performance of distribution agreements?  Which rules to respect in case of termination? Are there any mandatory post-termination principles?

The authors draw on their experience in these areas of distribution law to address the more complex issues arising in business practice. They offer practical solutions to commercial problems and provide an indispensable tool for all practitioners in this field.
