Martijn Jongmans is an experienced, all round competition lawyer handling cartel, merger control, procurement and state aid cases for over twenty years. Martijn has both in-house counsel (Philips) and law firm experience. He has extensive experience in assisting private sector clients with making their distribution, licensing and subcontracting arrangements compliant with EU and Dutch competition rules.

Martijn is particularly interested in issues at the interface of market and government, including public-private partnerships and the distribution of scarce public rights. Because of his expertise in the field of public-private partnerships, Martijn is frequently involved in sustainable energy projects in which governments and market parties join forces to accelerate the energy transition.

His clients include private companies, municipalities, government agencies, public bodies and public corporations.
